During this media availability event, CPSC Chairman Elliot Kaye  and James Van Loon, Acting Director General, Consumer Product Safety Directorate, Health Canada will discuss the advances made in recent years to eliminate one of the top hidden hazards in the home through the design of child safe window blinds and shades. Retailers will be recognized for their commitment to safety and CPSC and Health Canada will demonstrate safer window coverings that are in the market today.
